Most major New Zealand contractors require workers to have a valid Site Safety Card before entering a construction site. Get a Site Safety Card by completing one of our courses.
Anyone working in the New Zealand construction industry.
Most major New Zealand contractors require a valid Site Safety Card:
- To enter a building site.
- As a prerequisite when submitting a tender.
- As evidence that you or your workers are trained in keeping yourself and others safe onsite.
If you already have a Site Safety Card, find out how to renew it.
You'll get a Site Safety Card when you complete an eligible Site Safe course. Your first step is to do one of our Foundation Passport courses.
Your employer or main contractor might want to see your Site Safety Card before you can access a construction worksite.
Once you've completed your course, you can access your digital version of the Site safety Card. Login to your Learner Portal on our website. You can also add your digital card to your Google or Apple Wallet so you can access your card on-the-go.
If you'd like a physical card, you can order one here:
Site Safety Cards are valid for 2 years.
After 2 years, you'll need to complete another eligible Site Safe course to renew your Site Safety Card – choose one of our intermediate courses or step up to a technical or leadership course.
