Measles 2019
Measles outbreak 2019.
Measles is a highly contagious airborne virus which affects both children and adults and can be life threatening.
The symptoms of measles include:
- A fever
- A cough
- A runny nose
- Sore and watery ‘pink’ eyes
- Sometimes small white spots on the back inner cheek of your mouth
Given the infectious nature of measles, if you suspect you may have measles you should not attend your Site Safe course. Please contact us on 0800 SITE SAFE or email comments@sitesafe.org.nz to rebook your course.
Please seek medical advice, however call before visiting your doctor to avoid spreading the virus in the waiting room.
