About Anweshan Roy

Overview

With over three years of hands-on experience as a Health and Safety Officer for a tier 1 commercial construction company, Anweshan has developed a comprehensive understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and the critical role they play in high-risk environments. During his tenure, he has contributed to several large-scale projects, ensuring that safety standards were consistently met and adhered to across all stages of construction.

Anweshan is also an experienced instructor who has worked for New Zealand Red Cross as a First Aid Instructor and a qualified paramedic who has worked with Wellington Free Ambulance.

He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Workplace Health and Safety from Victoria University of Wellington. This course of study is helping him to expand his knowledge and stay at the forefront of industry trends and best practice health and safety.

As a Safety Advisor, Anweshan is committed to creating safer work environments, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring that all workers return home safely at the end of each day. His diverse experience and educational background makes him a great addition to the Central Team a fantastic resource for the local industry to tap into.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) (Level 7)

  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2)
