Harness course credits get an update

From today, the number of credits you get for Safety Harness Systems and Advanced Safety Harness Systems courses is changing.

Safety Harness Systems

This course lines up with unit standard 23229 called "Use a safety harness for personal fall prevention when working at height". It used to give you six credits – four for the actual course and two extra as part of the programme. It has now been changed to four credits, matching NZQA's credit value.

Advanced Safety Harness Systems

This course covers a couple of unit standards 23229, 15757: the same "Use a safety harness" , plus another about setting up temporary safety systems. Previously, you'd get nine credits – four and four for the standards, and an extra credit as part of the programme. It has now been changed to eight credits, again to match the official credit values.
