Learning Facilitator

We’re looking for an experienced Learning Facilitator with a passion for delivering engaging professional training to a wide range of audiences.

Site Safe is a not-for-profit, membership organisation providing education and health and safety services and resources to improve on-site safety. We help develop future Health & Safety leaders, give advice to businesses on solutions that make a real difference and ensure that everyone goes home safe at the end of each day.

As our Learning Facilitator you will facilitate our Health and Safety training courses in both class room settings and via webinar. These vary from half day to two-day courses with people predominantly working in the construction industry, varying from worker level to senior leaders. Our training is centered around changing attitudes and behaviours, so it’s about influencing through the sharing of experiences and learnings. You’ll also be required to mark assessments to check for understanding.

We’re looking for someone who has proven experience facilitating professional training courses. This will be supported by qualifications in Adult Teaching or Education. You’ll also have experience with assessment marking and supporting learners. Experience in the construction, or related, industry, and some knowledge and understanding of health and safety would be an advantage. Most importantly, you’ll have the passion for making a difference through education.

Southern Training Coordinator x 2

  • Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Christchurch location

Site Safe is a national, membership-based organisation working towards a safer construction industry, where the industry is proud to be safe, and injury and harm is reduced. 

As Southern Training Coordinator, you’ll be arranging health and safety courses in the southern region, which includes booking venues, diary management and customer service. You’ll also provide reception duties and administration support. It’s a role with variety and a wide range of different people to interact with. 

If you’re good at admin and great at dealing with customers in person, by email and phone, this role would suit you. You’ll need to be competent in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, and experience with customer databases would be an advantage. As with any admin role, you’ll also need to be able to multi-task, deal with changing priorities, and have good problem-solving skills.

Safety Advisor - Christchurch

We are seeking a Safety Advisor for our Southern (Christchurch based) team. This is a permanent, full-time role; however we are open to discussing part time options.

As one of our Safety Advisors you’ll be working alongside companies in the construction industry helping them embed health and safety behaviour and systems that make a difference. This will involve undertaking on-site Health and Safety Site Reviews (audits) and providing health and safety consulting services.  You’ll be identifying areas of risk, providing feedback and suggesting workable solutions. You’ll also facilitate classroom and online training sessions to help improve behavioural awareness of health and safety.    

We’re looking for a qualified Health and Safety professional, with substantial health and safety consulting and auditing experience and, ideally, HASANZ registration. An Adult Education qualification would be an advantage, as would knowledge of construction, or similar, industries.

In return for your skills, experience, and great attitude, we’ll offer ongoing training and professional development and some great benefits like health and life insurance. A vehicle will be provided for work-related travel, as this will be integral to the role.
