Senior Management Changes at Site Safe

06 Jul 2016

Site Safe today announced a change of management in their Auckland and Christchurch centres with regional managers Greg Kent and Richard Giddings moving on.

Ms Molloy says both managers should be proud of the contribution they have made to health and safety in the construction sector.

“Richard Giddings and his team have provided a valuable and critical contribution to safety across the South Island’s construction sector over the last nine years.”

“The tumultuous five years of the Canterbury Rebuild and the associated demand for health and safety services and products has been successfully navigated with our members. There is much to be proud of in this period.”

“The Northern region has been led by Greg for the past 20 months and the significant increase in demand in that region has created some real pressure points. Greg and his team however have risen to the challenge and stepped up to manage the needs of the members and the wider industry sector.  We will be increasing the team over the next few months to continue that good work."

Until new regional manager appointments are made existing Site Safe leaders Dave McBeth and Aimee Young will take over in Christchurch and Auckland respectively, from 4 July.

“These changes offer us an opportunity to look ahead and consider how we can further expand the great work that is being done in our regions; making construction a safer place,” says Site Safe Chief Executive Alison Molloy.

“For now it is business as usual and we are excited and encouraged by the level of health and safety activity throughout New Zealand.  In the past month our membership has passed 5,000 and in the year to 31 March 2016 we delivered health and safety training to over 73,000 construction workers.”

“The whole Site Safe team across the country are definitely ‘Proud to be Safe.”
