First Aid Construction Safety
This one-day course is suitable for those working in the construction sector and want to learn first aid for the first time or refresh their first aid skills.
Target audience
This course is designed for workers who have already completed at least one Passport course.
Learning outcomes
- Stop injuries occurring and change workplace behaviours
- Confidently recognise life threatening situations
- Competently offer vital assistance to the patient before more experienced help arrives
How you will be assessed
You will need to complete a Review of Understanding at the end of Part 1 of the course and a practical on course assessment at the end of Part 2.

Prior to the course please ensure you have visited Every Day Hero and completed the brief online first aid module.

- Recognising the impact of your actions on yourself and others

- CPR
- Automated external defibrillators
- Conscious/unconscious patient management
- Bleeding
- Burns
- Soft tissue injury
- Asthma
- Stroke
- Seizures
- Dislocations
- Broken bones
- Anaphylaxis
- Chest pain (e.g.: heart attack)
- Diabetic emergencies
- Poisoning
Please note: to attend this course learners must be physically able to take part in practical CPR activities.

To complete this course successfully, learners must be able to read and understand conversational English. If you are not comfortable with English comprehension, we recommend attending a classroom course at a Site Safe training centre.
