Marketing and Communications Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our team. The successful candidate will drive our marketing strategy, enhance our brand presence, and ensure effective communication with our stakeholders. This role is critical in promoting Site Safe’s mission and services, increasing our reach, and fostering strong community and industry relationships.

Site Safe is a successful not-for-profit membership organisation that promotes and supports health and safety in the New Zealand construction industry.  We work with industry to provide leadership and advocacy across safety issues.  We educate, train and develop future health and safety leaders; provide advice and assurance products and services to businesses; and conduct research on behalf of industry on the stuff that matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies aligned with Site Safe’s goals and objectives.
  • Brand Management: Enhance and maintain the Site Safe brand, ensuring consistency and integrity across all platforms and materials.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling content for various channels including digital, print, and social media.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote Site Safe’s products, events, and resources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and the media.
  • Digital Marketing: Manage and optimise Site Safe’s digital presence, including website, social media, and email marketing.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the marketing and communications team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communication activities, using data to inform future strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the construction or safety industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
